When paid plans open, the terms will be: subscribe for $10/month to keep using it, with your data preserved for 90 days after a trial ends so you can export it or subscribe — nothing lost in between.
There's nothing to cancel yet — no subscriptions exist. When billing opens you'll be able to cancel from inside the app, keep access through the end of the month you've paid for, and your data will stay exportable for 90 days so you can take it with you or come back.
No charges have been taken, so there's nothing to refund today. Once billing opens: if Zab Notes isn't for you, tell us within 7 days of your first charge and we'll refund it. After that, simply cancel — you won't be charged again.
No. Your subscription renews at $10 each month until you cancel. That is the only charge, ever — no setup fees, no overage charges, no upgrade fees.

Storage is included under a fair-use policy meant for notes and projects, not generic file backup. If your usage ever stands out, we'll contact you first. We never pause, lock or delete your notes without talking to you.
You are never locked in. Any note exports as HTML, Markdown or PDF at any time, and File → Offline Folder… writes your whole library to a folder you choose: every note as HTML and Markdown, and every mind map, drawing, chart, planner document, project and Kanban board as JSON, kept up to date as you work. Those are open formats that outlive any one company.
Yes. Once you have signed in on a device, Zab Notes keeps a copy of your library on that device and every workspace keeps working without a connection: notes, mind maps, drawings, charts, the planner, projects, Kanban boards and the calendar, including creating, editing and deleting. Changes are sent automatically when you are back online. If a note changed elsewhere in the meantime, your offline edit is kept as a version rather than overwriting it. Images stored in the cloud and encrypted notes need a connection.
No. We don't have advertising, analytics trackers or data sales. Our entire business model is the $10 subscription, and we have no commercial interest in the contents of your notes. Notes you place in the encrypted vault are unreadable to us; everything else is stored in plain form on our servers, which is exactly why the vault exists.
